2205 stainless steel is a duplex (austenite + ferrite) stainless steel with the grade UNS S32205 / S31803. Because it has the stainless steel characteristics of both austenite and ferrite, it has excellent strength, corrosion resistance and stress corrosion resistance. It is widely used in high-corrosion and high-strength environments such as marine engineering, chemical equipment, and pressure vessels.
