904L stainless steel is an ultra-low carbon high alloy austenitic stainless steel, known for its strong corrosion resistance, especially suitable for strong acid, strong chloride ion, high temperature corrosive media in harsh environments. It was first developed by UBS in France and is widely used in the fields of chemical industry, acid production, seawater desalination, pharmaceuticals and high-end equipment.
Feature
Super corrosion resistance: better than 316L, especially suitable for corrosive media such as concentrated sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, organic acid, etc.
Excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion: suitable for seawater, cooling water system, chemical media.
Good weldability: various welding methods such as TIG and MIG can be performed, and no heat treatment is required after welding.
Stable structure: carbides will not precipitate due to high temperature sensitization, leading to intergranular corrosion.
Application
Chemical equipment
Phosphate fertilizer industry
Marine engineering
Oil and gas
Pharmaceutical equipment
High-end manufacturing
